sleeve type SU

Self-sealing connection element for gas pipelines DN500 +

The Schuck sleeve SU is the big brother of the SMU and is used analogously for connecting pipes. In contrast to
SMU, the SU has another sealing system and is only available for nominal widths from DN 500.

  • PN 16 to PN 70
  • DN 500 to DN 800
  • Temperature range from -10 ° C to + 50 ° C
  • Processing pressure up to 1 bar
  • Operating medium gas (fluid group 1)
  • For smaller DN 500 see “SMU”
  • Advantages of the SMU also for nominal sizes from DN 500
  • Time and cost savings
  • Significantly reduced risk of accidents
  • Safe alternative to costly beading and entangling
  • Connecting different diameters in the repair of older lines quickly and easily possible
  • Enables fast commissioning of the pipe network
  • Elaborate bypass lines can be omitted
  • Due to the high frictional forces of the sealing rings with large diameters, the SU has a sealing system without sealing rings, whereby the sleeve can be easily pushed over the pipes to be connected.
  • The seal is effected by tightening the screws located in the front of the collar.
  • As a result, only the seal is braced against the base pipe.
  • With the help of weld-on collars, the SU is welded to the base pipe.
  • Turned collar rings according to AD Merkblatt W 13 with welded-in pipe sections
  • Acceptance according to EN 10204 3.1
